How many people have dogs, cats, or possibly both ? I do, I have a small dog named Max and he is like a Kid but with a heavy coat of fur and a tail. I feel like dogs especially are human in a way or at least act as if they are human. We humans share a lot of characteristics with many mammals but yet a monkey or elephant is not what we call a mans' best friend. A dog is what we know a mans' best friend to be because of course dogs are loyal but I also believe that it is because we know somewhere deep, deep. deep in our hearts that dogs are human.
Anyone that owns a cat they really do their own thing. Cats leave their home whenever they please and come back when their hungry, Cats have a type A personality; which is doing what you want when you want no matter what or who says you can't, that half of the human race has. But before all of the loyalty and personality cats and dogs are babies and learn their behavior from their owner which human babies do as well.

ReplyDeletePeople have this opinions about everything in life. My opinion on this particular subject is that I don't view a dog as a human being, because I don't think they have souls to have a kindling relationship with , love to an extent, traits, and personalities, all the things a human has. However, we can love anything in this world when it is not even human. That is just what makes it unique. I have never had a dog or a cat but I know that they affect humans in many ways. My mom for example, had a dog that was ran over when she was a little girl. After that, she did not want another pet because the life of one is unforgettable if it is positively connected to you.
DeleteI agree that animals are furry kids. My dog even has a human name! (Mariah) I treat my dog like she is my child. If I could take her everywhere I go, I would. She always knows how I feel and is always there for me. Like a human, she eats, sleeps, and communicates with others.... just in her own way. Whether it's a whine or a bark, I really feel like I know exactly what she wants and she does the same.
ReplyDeleteAnimals are furry kids. I do not have a pet, but from the looks of it, everyone treats their pet like their child. A pet is someone's child if they are unable to have actual kids. The only difference is that the animal cannot communicate like a human does, but they do understand what is going on.
ReplyDeleteI ABSOLUTELY HATE CATS! They're sneaky and gross to me!!! They are basically like kids too, just can't speak English. I love dogs! Dogs don't scratch up your wall, and climb in the most abnormal places.
ReplyDeleteI believe that dogs are like furry animals, not cats. My mom used to have a cat, she would always just stare and sneak around, as if she was plotting to do something devious. My mom even told me that she would wake up a couple of times and her cat would just be laying on her chest, staring at her. This is not kid behavior, what so ever.
ReplyDeleteI believe animals are furry kids. However, I do not like cats at all. Just like Aleyah stated cats are very sneaky. You never know what they are up to. I'm more of a dog fan. I have one and his name is Champ. I treat him like he's my own child. He is very protective just like humans are and he will not hurt anyone.
ReplyDeleteAnimals are definitely furry kids. Though at the same time I could see them as a mirror. My dog I once had would act just like me. He would always do things that I find myself doing on occasions. I get hangry (hungry/angry) and I saw that he would be the same way.
ReplyDeletePets are great. If I had to pick between dogs and cats I would have to go with Dogs. They are just more human like and friendly to me. Also cats always look concieted like they better than me. And that's just rude. Plus you can take dogs out for jogs and such, and thats super duper cool.
ReplyDeleteI agree that animals are like furry kids, but I do not agree that cats and dogs are also human or have human characteristics. Although they can express their feelings towards their owners, I just can't say that I believe that they too are humans.
ReplyDeleteI have a dog and two cats. One cat belongs to my son and the other belongs to....my dog. Yep. He only loves my dog. My dog has a pet cat; I think that's pretty weird. But you are right, my dog (Lila) is like a furry kid to me. I spoil her and talk to her in that stupid way people have of talking to animals and I swear she actually understands me sometimes. There's a cool documentary called *Dogs Decoded* that is very interesting. According to this documentary, dogs have co-evolved with humans to a point that they are now considered a companion species. They did these tests where they put dogs into certain situations and recorded their barking and whining, and in most cases, the people were able to just listen to the recording and tell what the dog was communicating (it wants to come in, it is whining for food, it is excited about seeing someone etc). They may not be able to "talk" per se, but I do believe dogs can communicate with us in a meaningful way.
