Loyalty is defined by Webster's dictonary as "a strong feeling of support or allegiance.", with this taken into consideration, we must also ask what makes someone loyal. Society will tell you that a ficle woman is only loyal to her man because of his income; however it can also be said that even a "good woman" would also take such matters into consideration. Marriage, as well as any romantic relationship, is as much mental and physical as it is financial. If a man, or woman, in a relationship is completely providing for their signifact other, without any sort of finincial assistance, then the relationhip is bound to fail. The foundation is weak, and from the begining, it is already on its way to demise.
Assuming that money is not an issue, what else makes people cheat? Superstar Basketball player Kyrie Irving recently had his girlfriend, singer and songwriter Kehlani, stolen by singer and songwriterPARTYUPTHESTREET. Not only is Irving worth over $15 million, to PND's $1 million; Kehlani is not struggling to pay the bills herself. So the big buzz at the moment is why Kehlani would leave good-guy Kyrie, for broke-boy/bad-boy PND?
Does loyalty still exist?
Do people every have a good reason to cheat?
Will Lebron leave Kyrie too?
Please leave your thoughts and oponions below.
I personally believe that money cannot buy someones happiness so all because someone does have money does not mean that they will not get cheated on. I also believe that their is good people still out here that will be loyal and hold their partner down through whatever life brings them. I see no purpose in someone cheating. If you know that you are not feeling someone anymore or want to be come a "dog" then do the right thing and be straight up with them and tell them how you feeling. Not only do you show yourself as being humble but also show that your caring and your intentions are not to hurt them by cheating. Communication is key into any relationship. Khelani should have kept it 100 and let Kyrie know wassup.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting point, I agree that honestly is always the best policy.
DeleteIt's no secret that money doesn't "change" you, but exploits who you really are deep inside. What does this have to do with anything? I'll explain. The sad truth is, women have no been given the tools in America to thrive on their own for very long. Thus being said, back in the day they had no choice but to be loyal. This could've mean that even if their husband cheated on them, there was still a small chance of them leaving. Now that women have their own money, they are free to do whatever they want, thus exploit their true colors. I'm not here to act holier than thou, I'm well aware that man have been dogs for centuries, all I'm saying is now the playing field has been made equal.
ReplyDeleteJust because I person has a lot of money, I don't believe it can buy someone's happiness. Well at first it may be good but that will not last long. I don't believe in cheating. If the person is not feeling it then they should just leave.
ReplyDeleteLoyalty needs to still exist. There's no reason people should be out here making others look bad. Either you like someone or you don't and forcing something that isn't there shouldn't be happening either. People don't know how to be faithful and it's sad because where are all the marriages?! There shouldn't be a reason to cheat.
ReplyDeleteLoyalty still exists but the abundance may be slim now. People cheat everyday and probably will continue to do so. I do not feel like there is ever a good reason to cheat. If you feel you have to cheat you should just be single. Cheating can ruin someones trust especially if they don't open up easily. Lebron will probably end up leaving Kyrie because he doesn't have patience, he wants to win ASAP.
ReplyDeleteI definitely believe that loyalty still exists. In this generation it is just hard to find because the media has taken over the minds of the youth and we misinterpret a lot. Now, people have these false assumptions of what a relationship should be like when not every relationship is the same or even perfect. I'm not saying that gives reason to cheat though, because that will never be okay. Just as we heard about Kyrie and Kehlani, she was accused of cheating. However, she was not being unloyal, she did not stay with Kyrie due to financial reasons either. She remained honest with herself and went to the man she felt the most love and allegience to, partynextdoor.

ReplyDeleteI believe loyalty does exist, however it isn't taken as seriously as it was before. I believe over the years, relationship values have altered which leads to high divorce rates. It seems like our generation has extreme levels of pride and doesn't strive to fix the problems they come across in the relationship. I do not believe that there is a good reason to cheat. If you choose to cheat or feel the urge to cheat then you shouldn't be in the relationship. Obviously the relationship isn't to your satisfactory level.
ReplyDeletei still believe in loyalty. i have faith in relationships even though this generation lets what they see on tv and hear in music influence their life decisions. there are still people that love unconditionally and are loyal. society chooses to bring attention to all the relationship gossip and failures rather than the people that have been faithful for years and years. why i s that? we idolize the independent people more. why?.. because its more interesting to gossip about, but people need to learn to seperate media from reality, before they end up alone and miserable.I think that kehlani was loyal to herself and her heart. she made the decision that made her happy instead of making the decision that peopl thought was smart. that is being loyal to the man she knows she loves, and being with him for the right reasons and not superficial reasons.
