A Different World

Everyone has seen or at least heard of people coming to college and somehow finding their husband/wife? It's magical in a sense that two people with different stories can collaborate and make a beautiful unforeseen union. Growing up one of my favorite shows I watched was A Different World. One of the prominent relationships in this show were the characters Whitley Hillman and Dwayne Wayne. As the series began you can clearly see that the two were completely different opposites but throughout the series they slowly fall inlove and became inseperable. Now I could be the only one who thinks this but...

  1. I beleive that it is possible to find the person you are meant to be with in college, there are so many people on college campuses that if you look hard enough you might find the one meant for you.

  2. I agree with Ian. I believe that you can find someone on campus. You never know what kind of person you can run into. A persons husband/wife could be in the same class that they are in and would not know until later in life.

  3. I think anything is possible, but with our generation, the chances are much smaller. People now-a-days are more about themselves, and don't take the time to care about others enough. People see college as fun and a good time to experiment, so mistakes are bound to be made. Maybe if you wait your junior or senior year, then the chances would probably be better. People are more matured by that time and focused on their future. Freshmans and sophmores should worry more about getting those general ed classes out the way, and maintaining a high gpa. You can drop your gpa faster than you can get it back up!

  4. I believe that it is completely possible to come to college and find the love of your life. Though, no one should go out looking for love, what is meant to be will always come in due time!

  5. It is possible to find your lifetime partner in college, I don't know how often it happens anymore but it definitely can happen. I would say don't rush things though.

    1. Absolutely, if something is meant to be then it will. Everyone has their own love story. Anyone can find the love of their life at different times, its just a matter of their season. Love should finds people, not the other way around

  6. I have actually witnessed this happen! My cousin is married now and she met her husband in college. I think that you could find your husband/wife in college. A lot of people met their spouse on campus.

  7. I believe you can find your life partner in college. I know of a few people that found their true love in their college years. However, I seem to have no luck, I can't find the right one! I don't know if it happens quite often anymore because this generation is really fickle with relationships.

  8. i think that it is very possible to find your life partner in college , just as well as you can find them at a different point in your life. some people have high school sweethearts and some people dont find a life partner until they are very well established. i think college is just like high school, because when your done you have life altering decisions to make. if you find a partner in any of the two phases in your life, when its over you might be faced with obstacles due to where you want to be afterwards. jobs may be in two different places, grad school might be on different sides of the country, etc. there is no one place to find your partner you just have to live and see where your journey will take you.
