Why Hate On The King?

There isn't one basketball fan that hasn't heard of the name LeBron James. Since 2003 LeBron has accomplished so many things winning multiple MVP awards and being a 2-Time NBA Champion. Personally I respect LeBron James as a player and as a person. What I don't understand is why he so hated by people around the world. According to Ranker.com he is the number 1 most hated player in the NBA. Why do most people hate LeBron? It's obvious, many people didn't really appreciate him making his decision to leave Cleveland to take his talents to south beach back in 2010. Many people also believe he is the biggest cry baby and dislike him heavily for the calls he gets from refs because of how many fouls he draws. The hate for him is so strong fans even burn his jerseys. It seems as though the more he accomplishes the more the people hate him.

One of his biggest haters is ESPN First Take's Skip "1.4 PPG in High School" Bayless. Every change Skip gets to shun LeBron he won't hesitate. Why does Skip criticize LeBron so much? He just might be jealous he rode the bench his whole career as a Basketball player. He has given Bron some crazy nicknames over the past few years like "Queen James" and "The Frozen One". He adds fuel to the passionate fire that LeBron haters love to argue with. My advice, don't hate the man because he keeps putting your favorite team out in the playoffs.

Personally do you like LeBron?

Do you think Skip is right to criticize him?

Do you think LeBron is overrated?

Lebron's Message to the Haters.

  1. I mean the more you win the more hate you get. MJ had just as many haters as Lebron lol, and just as many as Steph Curry has

  3. Personally, I do not like Lebron but I can't not acknowledge the fact that he has done a lot throughout his career. No amount of hate can take away his achievements made in basketball. I also don't think it is that serious to ever burn someone's jersey or call them degrading names just because you aren't a fan. I do think Lebron is overrated, slightly just because I am tired of hearing is name. Then again, I don't know much about basketball and my favorite team is the Knicks lol. Go Melo!

  4. Everyone is rightly titled to their own opinions so Skip can say whatever he likes but in my opinion I do like Lebron James due to the fact that he is great at basketball and has shown nothing less.

  5. I agree with what you wrote. LeBron James has been out for a while. I think it's crazy how people hate him now. I'm really not big on baskehball but I'm glad LeBron Jame has another dream he wants to pursue.

  6. Like you, I don't understand why so many people hate LeBron. I understand the "south beach" situation, but why does that even matter? I watch basketball to be entertained; by this I mean dunks, three pointers, and ones, etc. LeBron never fails to entertain me when I watch him, therefore I am a fan and hold nothing against him.

  7. I am neutral when it comes to Lebron, he has my respect because he has truly made a name for himself but I am not against him in anyway. I wouldn't consider myself a Lebron fan though. Skip has the right to say what he wants, so I wouldn't say it was right but that's the world of pro sports. Lebron isn't overrated, in my eyes he has proven himself time and time again.

  8. LBJ is one of the most polarizing that basketball has seen, other than usual names that you hear. I think his criticism stems from his early days in the league. He self-proclaimed himself "King James", me personally I understand wordplay. Though since he was just starting his career it rubbed people the wrong way. Lebron is usually the best player on the floor against any team. In this age athletically gifted as he is, there is no way he can avoid criticism. "If you ain't got haters you ain't poppin"
